Thai Ridgeback Puppy
To begin with, The Thai Ridgeback dog is believe to be first documented approximately 350 years ago, but breed lovers do believe that Thai Ridgeback breed has existed normally for much longer than notice. Humans in Thailand semi-domesticated the breed in the 1600s for multiple purposes like to chase down vermin, help pull carts, and act as a guard for shops and homes. The reason why it has kept its own original type for so long is because of poor transportation systems in the aera, Before (and even after) domestication. Thai Ridgebacks were mostly found on the eastern island of Dao Phu Quoc, right near the border of Cambodia and Vietnam.
However, The breed was incredibly scares outside of Thailand but now is found in the USA, Europe and the World at large due to its friendly and loving nature. Forther more, the Thai Ridgeback didn’t make it over to the States until 1994. And the American Kennel Club added the Thai Ridgeback to their Foundational Stock Service group in 1997. The Thai Ridgeback is well trained and very active, with an excellent jumping ability. He is very intelligent, has a strong survival instinct and is a loyal family pet of all times.

Thai Ridgeback Puppies
Further more, the Thai Ridgeback dog is a muscular and medium-sized pet with a stream-lined body that makes it very agile and a natural athlete at all times. The ridge on his back is formed by hair growing in the opposite direction from the rest of his coat and the breed has up to 8 different ridge patterns. But it’s important to note that, Puppies can be born without this ridge. Thai coat colors include solid blue, black, red or fawn with a black mask occasionally on the red-coated dogs. Thai Ridgebacks also have spotted tongues and some even come with solid black/blue tongues. Today, most Ridgebacks are companion dogs, but they still maintain many of the same instincts for the jobs for which they were bred: hunting and guarding. They had to be independent, self-sufficient and hunt for their own food, which gave them strong survival instincts, a high prey drive, and a high level of intelligence. If well-bred and properly socialized, the Thai Ridgeback can be a loyal, loving pet. As a guarding breed, they are naturally protective of their home and can be reserved and suspicious with strangers. Thai Ridgebacks will need patient, consistent and experienced owner with a good understanding of dog behavior.
To continue, it was discovered that male Thai Ridgebacks takes the highiet 22 to 24 inches from the shoulder and weigh between 50 and 75 pounds, mean while female Thai Ridgebacks are a little shorter at 20 to 22 inches and weighs 35 to 55 pounds. More so, some thai Ridgebacks can be larger or smaller than average for their breed depending on their parants nature. To conclude, thai ridgebacks are very important for home use.
Thai Ridgeback Personality

Thai Ridgebacks is one of the most loyal companion dogs in the world, though
somewhat stubborn breed but very loving and protective. This means that the Thai Ridgeback needs a person who is ready to stay on their toes and teach them obedience training attitutes.
The Thai Ridgeback dog is also intensely loyal. Once you become “their” human, your Thai Ridgeback might become overprotective of you and become somewhat aggressive towards strangers. To avoid stranger aggression and resource guarding, you will need to socialize your Thai Ridgeback as early as possible. With early socialization, the Thai Ridgeback can be an outgoing and friendly pup to all your love once.
The Thai Ridgeback also has a strong prey drive, which means letting your dog off the leash or to roam freely in public areas is a gamble.
Thai Ridgebacks are prone to darting off as soon as they see something, like a squirrel, rabbit, or other small animal, and chasing it. Again, this is where consistent obedience training will also come in handy.
Even though they are briliantly active puppies, the Thai Ridgeback dog can do well in apartments and smaller abodes regardless, so long as they’re given regular exercise and walks. However, it is important not to leave your Thai Ridgeback alone for too long, because this inquisitive dog just might engage in bored, destructive behaviors since they like to discover new things.
Thai Ridgebacks health

Thai Ridgebacks are generally healthy, but like all pets, they can be subject to certain health conditions if are not well taking care off.
Not all Thai Ridgebacks will get any or all of these diseases, but it’s important to be aware of them if you’re considering this breed as pet.
Some of the more common health problems Thai Ridgebacks suffer from are:
Hip dysplasia
Dermoid sinus

Thai Ridgeback Temperament
Harsh conditions in Thailand forced this breed to hunt for food back in the days, resulting in strong survival instincts.
Though most owners keep Thai Ridgebacks as companion puppies, they retain an independent, self-sufficient nature.
Hunters at heart, Thai Ridgebacks often stalk or chase smaller animals and may be aggressive toward other dogs before they were train to be home pets.
They aren’t overly affectionate, but they do bond with their owners and seek to protect them. For this reason,
they tend to be reserved and suspicious around strangers and unfamiliar animals.
These strong-willed dogs do best in homes with patient, experienced pet parents who understand canine behavior.
Boston Terrier Dog
Boston terrier is one of the Best breed that originated in the United States, due to it’s friendly and loving nature.
Boston Terrier Puppies
Boston Terrier dog is a compactly built, square-proportioned, short-backed, clean-cut dog. This breed conveys the impression of determination, strength, sturdiness, liveliness, and style, with a graceful carriage. The Boston retains many of the attributes of his Bulldog ancestors,
but in a clean-cut package that makes a handy house companion. The short fine coat, with distinctive markings, adds to this breed’s dapper appearance. Still thinking of what dogs fit you best? Read below for more about Boston terriers.
Boston Terrier History
The Boston terrier dog breed originated around 1875 in the United state, when Robert C. Hooper of Boston purchased from Edward Burnett a dog named Judge (known later as Hooper’s Judge), which was of a bull and terrier type lineage. Hooper’s Judge is directly related to the original bull and terrier breeds of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Hence, the American Kennel Club cites see’s Hooper’s Judge as the ancestor of all true modern Boston Terriers. Judge weighed about 32 pounds (15 kg) and Judge was bred to Burnett’s Gyp (or Kate). Gyp was a white bulldog-type female, owned by Edward Burnett, of Southboro, Massachusetts.
She weighed about 20 pounds (9.1 kg), was stocky and strong and had the typical blocky head now seen in Bostons. From this foundation of the breed, subsequent breeders refined the breed into its modern day presentation. Bred down in size from fighting dogs of the bull and terrier types, the Boston Terrier originally weighed up to 44 pounds (20 kg) (Old Boston Bulldogs).
However, The breed was first notice in Boston in the 1870’s and by 1889 the breed had become sufficiently popular in Boston that fanciers formed the American Bull Terrier Club, the breed’s nickname, “roundheads”. Shortly after, at the suggestion of James Watson (a noted writer and authority), then the club changed its name to the Boston Terrier Club and in 1893 it was admitted to membership in the American Kennel Club, thus making it the first US breed to be recognized. It is one of a small number of breeds to have originated in the United States.
Further more, it is important to note that, the Boston Terrier was the first non-sporting dog breed in the US.
To continue, in the early years, the color and markings were not very important to the breed’s standard. But by the 20th century the breed’s distinctive markings and color were written into the standard, becoming an essential feature. Boston Terrier dog has lost most of its aggressive nature, preferring the company of humans, although some males will still challenge other dogs if they feel their territory is being invaded. Boston University has used Rhett the Boston Terrier as their mascot since 1922. Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC has had a live Boston Terrier mascot named Blitz since 2003 that attends home football games. The Boston Terrier has also been the official state dog of Massachusetts since 1979 which makes the breed out standing amoung dog breeds in the USA.
Boston Terrier Puppy Facts

Boston Terrier Dog Temperament
Boston Terrier is a gentle breed that typically has a strong, happy-go-lucky,
and friendly personality with a merry sense of humor.
Again, Boston Terriers are generally eager to please their owner and can be easily trained which qualifiers it as a good breed to live amoung humans.
They can be very protective of their owners, which may result in aggressive and territorial behavior toward other pets and strangers if not well socialized.
The breed requires only a minimal amount of grooming.
More so, While originally bred for fighting as well as hunting rats in garment factories, they were later bred for companionship.
They are not considered terriers by the American Kennel Club, however, but are part of the non-sporting group.
Both females and males are generally very calm and bark only when necessary, though early training in this regard is essential.
Their usually sensible attitude toward barking gives them excellent choices for apartment dwellers. They enjoy being around people, get along well with children, the elderly, other canines, and non-canine pets, if properly socialized.

Boston Terrier Health
Curvature of the back, called roaching, might be caused by patella problems with the rear legs, which in turn causes the dog to lean forward onto the forelegs. This might also just be a structural fault with little consequence to the dog.
Due to their shortened muzzles, many Boston Terriers cannot tolerate excessively hot or cold weather and demanding exercise under such conditions can cause them harm.
A sensitive digestive system is also typical of Boston Terriers with flatulence commonly being associated with poor diet in the breed.
Thus, Their large and prominent eyes make Boston Terriers prone to corneal ulcers.
Due to the breed being characterized by a short muzzle paired with a large pair of eyes,
their eyes are susceptible to injury when making contact with sand, dust, debris, or sharp objects, such as plants with thorns.
Boston Terriers are brachycephalic, meaning that their head is both broad and short, resulting in small nostrils, long palates and a narrow trachea; the shortened nose of brachycephalic animals can lead to brachycephalic airway obstructive syndrome.
Bostons may be prone to snoring and reverse sneeze—a rapid and repeated forced inhalation through the nose—accompanied by snorting or gagging sounds used to clear the palate of mucus, which does not harm the dog if it does not last for more than 1–2 minutes. Brachycephalic dogs may be prone to complications with general anesthesia. Bostons frequently require caesarean section to give birth, with over 80% of litters in a UK Kennel Club survey delivered this way.

Boston Terrier Dog Grooming
With a short, shiny, smooth coat, Boston Terriers require little grooming.
Bostons produce light shedding, and weekly brushing of their fine coat is effective at removing loose hair.
Brushing promotes the health of the coat because it distributes skin oils, and it also encourages new hair growth.
Occasional bathing is suitable for the breed.
The nails of Boston Terriers require regular trimming.
Overgrown nails not only have the potential to inflict pain on the breed, but they can also make walking difficult or tear off after getting snagged on something.
Similarly to nail trimming, tooth brushing should also be done regularly to promote good oral health.
The risk of the breed developing oral pain, gum infection, or bad breath can be decreased with regular tooth brushing that removes plaque buildup and other bacteria.
In addition, poor dental hygiene can lead to tooth root abscesses that can lead to damage around the tissue and eventually lead to the loss of teeth.
